Frequently Asked Questions
1. So we want to book a session, now what?
Once you have chosen a package that is right for your family ( see all options on 'prices and packages' page), contact me with the days of the week that work best for you and I will send you a few possible date options. Once we have finalised a date we will choose a location together, then I will send over a contract to be read and signed, a deposit will be needed to secure your date and then we are all set!
2. When is the best time of day for photos?
My favorite time of day for outdoor session are golden hour, which is early morning, shortly after sunrise or close to sunset time. All outdoor session will be shot during these times of day.
3. How far in advance do we need to book a session?
My recommendation is always to secure your date as early as you can so that you can have the date that works best for you and your family and have ample time to prepare for your session. Sunday and Friday sessions are always booked way in advance so my recommendation is that if those days are preferred to you, you book them 2/3 months in advance. Week day sessions should be booked at least three weeks in advance.

This is every parents biggest fear but im here to tell you do NOT worry!! There is a reason why I recommend the family session which is an hour and a half because it is the perfect amount of time for your little ones to warm up to the situation, have breaks and playtime all while we get incredible photos. If an illness or emergency occurs we can easily reschedule to a later date ( up to 2 times)without loosing your deposit , however if a cancellation occurs the deposit is nonrefundable.
10. What if we dont know how to pose or be photographed?
You do not need to pose or have any experience in front of the camera before coming to a session. I make it my job to make you guys as comfortable with the experience as possible- awkward posing, or statue like photos. I make sure to help guide you so that you feel comfortable but also let the real moments happen on their own.
11. Do you use props?
I dont use props, you dont need props for beautiful photos, nature, your family and the perfect lighting is all that you need trust me.
12. Do you do cake smashes?
I do not shoot cake smashes, in my experience they aren't a pleasant experience for the baby or parents. The usually results in tears and your little one being pushed to eat cake they don't want. There are so many ways to take special photos that commemorate this huge milestone.
13.What COVID precautions are you taking?
I always wear a mask during our session and make sure to keep a safe distance from my clients. If I don't feel well or have been exposed to anyone who tested positive or feels ill I make sure to update my clients and postpone sessions when necessary.

The ideal time for photos is as soon as you are prepared! I try to recommend to do them as early on as possible preferably within the first 15 days of baby's life when they are still calm and sleepy, but we also want mama to feel well enough to have photos taken.
16. When is the ideal time for photos?
I get asked all the time when is the ideal time to book a shoot for babies and families so I will start with this, it is always a good time for photos! your moments are fleeting and capturing them at every stage ensure you can hold onto them for a lifetime. However within that there are times that are more ideal, for instance the start of life- newborn photos are a great fist session, once that stage passes the next time for photos can be once baby is sitting up, smiling and interacting (around 6 months old), then one years old, then every year following is great!

Of course! if you decide to have a custom album, single prints or high end photos for your wall I can definitely be of service, all prints need to be picked up from my home.
